PLEASE READ - THIS IS IMPORTANT
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is a paid cloud service. During the registration process, you have entered your billing details and credit/debit card information. By doing so you have authorized AWS to charge your credit card for any costs that may occur with you using this platform.
With a free account, you have a free tier with different services but that does NOT mean that everything is free. While it is very unlikely that you will encounter any costs, I cannot make any guarantees that what you build during this course will remain in the free tier. Any services that you create will create a running cost, regardless if you use them or not.
To AVOID any unexpected charges at the end of the month, please do the following:
terminate any services that you do not use, especially if you decide to take a pause from this course
visit the Billing & Cost Management Dashboard to see if you have any accumulated costs during this month
use a prepaid credit card that has a limit on it
ensure that your account is secure:
do not reuse the same password between different accounts (like e-mail, social media ...)
create a secure password and store it somewhere safely (like a password manager)
enable Multi-factor Authentication for your AWS account
Pay attention to an e-mail from AWS with the title "AWS Free Tier limit alert"
Let me know if you have any questions.
